Ryan’s Miracle Watch 11/20/15

My next door neighbor Gretchen sent this to me yesterday. Isn’t she the nicest neighbor in the whole wide world? The email said to pass it along to 4 people I care about, but I figure if I post it here, that I could ask God to bless a whole lot more. I know Ryan wouldn’t stop at 4…
Quiet Time Prayer
There is nothing better than older people praying for you.
We’re not getting older, just getting closer to home! The instructions are to pick four people You want God to bless. I pick you. Please pass this to at least four people you want to pray for. This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let’s always pray for one another.
The prayer:
Father, Thank You for each and every day You have blessed us here on earth. Thank You for Your tender mercies. Thank You for giving us friends and family to share joys and sorrows with. I ask You to bless my friends, relatives, brothers and sisters in Christ and those I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Where there
is joy, give them continued joy. Where there is pain or sorrow, give  them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence. Where there is need, fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus’ name,  Amen.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 11/19/15

My friend Harry posted this on FB today. It’s a pretty good way to explain death…

A sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said,

“Doctor I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.”

Very quietly the doctor replied, “I don’t know…”

“You don’t know? You’re a Christian man, and you don’t know what’s on the other side?”

The doctor was holding the handle of the door; on the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.

Turning to the patient, the doctor said, “Did you notice my dog? He’s never been in this room before. He didn’t know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one thing…I know my Master is there, and that is enough.”

Thanks for sharing Harry!

Janine found this and posted it on FB yesterday…

A mom is making eggs for her teenage boy for breakfast, as he walks in.

“Mom, Don’t burn them! Careful! Careful! Don’t mess up! Don’t let them burn! You are going to mess up. Be careful! Careful!”

Finally the mom snaps.

“I know what to do. I’ve cooked eggs before!”

“I know mom. I was just trying to show you what it’s like when I’m playing soccer.”

Now that’s funny!!

First, I’d like to thank everyone for praying for my friend Leesa. She is home from the hospital. She still needs our prayers, however, because she has bacterial pneumonia and it will take a few months for her to return to normal. Please continue to pray for her.

And, continue to pray for all those we know who need our prayer. Whenever someone comes into mind, pause for a moment and say a quick prayer for them. Yours may just be the prayer that causes God to move in that persons life. If we hold back, then we may be delaying the process. God’s going to do what He wants to do, but He does ask us to pray. So, what are we waiting for?

Ryan’s been doing well. I’m sure as he lies there, he’s praying for each and every one of us. I can sure use whatever prayers I can get…

Praying God will bless you all in a magnificent way this week…

1 Timothy 2:1   First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people…

Correction: I accidentally spelt Leesa’s name wrong. Please forgive me Leesa. Please continue to pray for Leesa, as the doctors are still uncertain of what is ailing her…Thank you.

“Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone?”

Janine and I were talking with some friends today and reminiscing about some of the things we used to do with the boys when they were younger. Wow! The moments come and go so quickly. For those of you that still have kids at home, enjoy every moment with them, because they’ll be off to college or somewhere else before you know it. And for those of us whose kids are away, or out of the next so to speak, make the most of the moments when they decide to give you a call and/or text, etc. Ah what the heck! Enjoy every moment with or without them. That just about covers everything…

Thank you to all who have been praying for my friend Lisa. I’ll give you an update as soon as I hear anything…

Wow! There are always things to pray about, and that’s why I suppose God says to pray without ceasing, because we’ll never run out of things to pray about. Problem is, most of the time I pray selfishly…Lord I want this, or I want that. Please help me, etc. Well, tonight I’m turning my focus on the needs of the world. With the situation in Paris, Seria and everywhere there’s conflict, I’m praying that God will step in soon to end all of the hatred, corruption and greed, etc. But by stepping in, I don’t mean that He stops all of the madness, because that won’t happen. I just want Him to send His son to take us away from all of it.

I guess in the end I’m still praying a selfish prayer. Oh well…

Please join me in praying for the people of this world who are without Christ in their hearts. Pray that God will step into their lives and…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 11/12/15

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter; usually late November to mid December. Female reindeer, however, retain their antlers until after they give birth in the spring. Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa’s reindeer, every single one of them from Rudolph to Blitzen…had to be female. We should have known this…Only women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night, and not get lost.

Christmas is almost upon us…
