Guess what night it is? That’s right! It’s my night to watch Ryan. It seems like forever since the last time I got to watch him; being away on business and all. I’ve decided I’m going to write a song with him. Hopefully, we’ll get some inspiration. He does inspire me. Regardless of whether or not we come up with anything, it’s gonna be fun hanging out with him…
Psalm 40:3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear And will trust in the LORD.
I love Ryan, and pray he’s not in any sort of agony. He looks comfortable, but who really knows but God?
Enough said for today…
Ryan’s Aunt Dana was out here on vacation when Ryan was injured, and was instrumental in keeping Jacob distracted while everything was going on around him/us. God places certain people on this earth who have the most wonderful and special heart, and Dana is one of them. We are extremely blessed and grateful God chose to place her into our lives (and me especially because I’ve had the pleasure of being around her a lot longer), and we praise Him for it! Those of you who know Dana know what I’m talking about…
Dana celebrated a very special birthday today, and Ryan (and us too) would like to thank his Aunt for her loving kindness and wish her a very Happy Birthday!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANA!!
Saw this posted on FB today:
ACYROLOGIA An incorrect use of words – particulately using one word with another word that sounds similar but has a diffident meaning – possibly fuelled by a deep-seeded desire to sound more educated, witch results in an attempt to pawn off an incorrect word in place of a correct one. In academia, such flaunting of common social morays is scene as almost sorted and might result in the offender becoming a piranha, in the Monday world, after all is set and done, such a miner era will often leave normal people unphased. This is just as well sense people of that elk are unlikely to toe the line irregardless of any attempt to better educate them. A small percentage, however, suffer from sever acyrologiaphobia, and it is there upmost desire to see English used properly. Exposure may cause them symptoms that may resemble post-dramatic stress disorder and, eventually, descend into whole-scale outrage as they go star-craving mad. Eventually, they will succumb to the stings and arrows of such a barrage, and suffer a complete metal breakdown, leaving them curled up in the feeble position.
I liked saying stuff like this to Ryan and Jacob. It used to drive them crazy. Some dumb dad I am, huh?
Matthew 28:6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.
Luke 24:6 He is not here; he has risen!
John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
Romans 10:9 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!
Romans 5:10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
Tomorrow, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!! He is Risen!!
It took an extremely long time to get back from Tulsa today, but I’m not complaining. I think about how long it must have taken people in Jesus’ day to walk everywhere. Can you imagine?
I’m home now, and that’s a very satisfying thing. I’m not sure if Ryan was excited to see me, though. It’s hard to tell with him sometimes. I’ll just imagine that he is excited to see me and leave it at that until he tells me otherwise.
It was very nice seeing and hugging him again…
Live beneath your means
Return everything you borrow
Stop blaming other people
Admit it when you make a mistake
Give clothes not worn to charity
Do something nice and try not to get caught
Listen more – talk less
Be on time
Don’t make excuses
Be kind to people
Let someone cut in ahead of you in line
Go an entire day without criticizing someone
Learn from the past
Plan for the future
Live in the present
Don’t sweat the small stuff
It’s all small stuff
You know you’re in Oklahoma when your TV program is interrupted by a tornado warning alert. About an hour ago, there were some spectacular cloud formations off in the distance as we were driving back from dinner, and I actually went outside and took video of the lightening those clouds were emoting. The video footage didn’t really do the lightening justice. Fortunately, the storm passed toward the south of us, so there really wasn’t any major threats to us. But, there is still danger to people to the southeast. Please pray for them and their safety.
Keep your eyes peeled. Evidence of God’s existence is all around us!
Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.
There were two snakes talking.
The first one said “Sidney, are we the type of snakes that wrap ourselves around our prey and squeeze and crush until they’re dead? Or are we the type of snakes that ambush our prey and kill them with a poisonous bite?”
The second snake says “Why do you ask?”
The first one relies: “I just bit my lip!”
Just a little Tuesday humor from Oklahoma…
