Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/11/16

We’ve had a lot of rainy days in a row. Keep them coming Lord!

Isaiah 45:8   Drip down, O heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it.

1 Peter 1:6-7   In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ…

I love the fact that you can go to the Bible and find all that matters there…

Ryan says hello to y’all!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/10/16

Finally made it home from my week-long business trip, as my flight (per the typical Las Vegas airport way) was delayed by close to an hour. It’s a good thing it’s a short flight. This, however, is a perfect example of how God works, because I sat next to a gentleman who knows a little something about EEG machines and data analysis, etc. He was on his way to Portland, but his flight was delayed for seven hours. Coincidence that I’d sit next to someone of his credentials? I think not! We got to talking and exchanged cards, and it may quite possibly turn into something that may be of benefit for Ryan. Don’t know what God has in mind, but I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for His divine plan…

That said, it’s nice to be home…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/9/16

Praise God! Ryan’s had another good day, chillin’ around the house (actually just in one spot) and not giving the nurses any grief. They’ve got a pretty easy job with him, but thankfully do not slack on what is needed for him at any given time. They truly do tend to him like he was their own, and that’s a relief for us to know. I’m looking forward to seeing him tomorrow night when I get back from my time away at work.

Thank you Lord for a new job, and thank you that Ryan’s in good hands when his mother and/or I are away. If it be your will, please heal him tonight. Thank you for hearing my prayer…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/8/16

COMPLETE   adjective:   perfect in every respect; having all necessary and normal parts, components, steps or qualities

Colossians 2:9-10   For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,  and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

We are complete in Christ. Chew on that for a while…

Sleep well my friends, and may He bless you for your faithfulness towards Him…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/7/16

Thanks to everyone who congratulated me on my new job. I really appreciate it. I’ve finished my first day, and am further convinced this is the right fit for me. The people are really nice…as well as top-notch…

I just got off the phone with Janine, and she tells me Ryan has had a good day. She even held the phone up to his ear so I could tell him that I love him, and she said he listened intently and turned his eyes toward his right ear; the ear she held the phone up to. It’s a nice little nugget to cling to…

Thank you all for your continued love and support through notes, thoughts and prayers for Ryan…and us. We appreciate you all so very much!!

Numbers 6:24-26   The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/6/16

I’ll be starting a new job tomorrow, and as a result, will be away training for several days. It’s been a while since I’ve been away, and while I’m excited about beginning this new chapter in my life, I’m sure I’ll miss my family, having been home for the past 8 months or so since I’ve been out of work. I know God will watch over my family as He always has, and as only He can do, so I’m not afraid to be away, because I know they are in GOOD HANDS…

That said, I’m sure Ryan’s going to enjoy the space…as every young adult (child) does. In fact, I think I detected a slight smile when I told him that I’d be away on business.

Lord, Please watch over my family while I’m away. Amen

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/5/16

1 Peter 1:3-5   Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Isn’t it wonderful that God has done this for us? Our time here on earth is short, and therefore the things we face here, both perceived as good and bad, are temporary. But to those who BELIEVE, we shall spend eternity praising our Lord in heaven. Pretty awesome!!

TRIAL   noun:   the act of undergoing testing; an annoying or frustrating or catastrophic event

1 Peter 1:6-9   In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4    Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/2/16

Three elderly men are sitting together and discussing what they want their family and friends to say when they are lying in their casket at their funeral.

The first man says “I want them to say I was a great father and a great friend. I want them to say I could always be counted on.”

The second guy says “I just want them to talk about how much I changed the world, and how I left it a better place.”

The third man says “I want them to look right at me and say: Look! He’s moving!”

1 Corinthians 6:14   And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.
