Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/9/16

Ryan got some new hand braces today. They’re used every couple of hours to help stretch his hands and wrists to prevent them from becoming locked into one position. Compared to the old ones, these are well-padded and therefore look a lot more comfortable. We’re all about making Ryan as comfortable as we can possibly make him. Praise God for his provision!

Right now, he and Janine are in the living room watching the movie Grease for, at least, the billionth time. Yes, that’s billion with a “B”. The things I have to put up with; writing this post while they get to watch Grease without me. I’m stopping right here and sprinting over there to watch with them! Bye for now…

    • Good Afternoon Brenda,
I apologize for the late reply. I’d been out of town on business, and had to ask my wife about the hand braces. First, I’m sorry to hear about your sister, and will add her to my prayer list for a complete healing and recovery…as well as comfort and peace. This is what I pray for Ryan every day…

With regards to the hand braces, my wife bought them on-line from the following website: http://www.easierliving.com/ The she purchased are called SoftPro.

Upon receiving them, our Occupational Therapist (OT) has modified them to customize the fit for Ryan. The nice thing about these is, 1. they are flexible and easy to bend into the proper fit, and 2. you can remove and wash the padding. They’re very nice.

Please let me know if I can be of further service. If you live in the SF Bay Area, or wherever, and would like to see Ryan’s room, you are welcome to come by and take a look for ideas for your sister’s room. You can see what we’ve done for now, and for future needs. Feel free to call me on my cell 925-639-7926. If I don’t answer right away, please leave a message and I’ll get back to you.
