Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/21/16

The other day, a friend of mine (Diane) posted this on FB. She stole it from my diary…

“There’s a fine line between genius and crazy. I like to use that line as a jump rope.”

Ryan’s had a great day today; chillin’ in his room while I worked on the house trying to get it presentable for his birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. Can’t believe he’s going to be 22. Twenty-two! Oh, to be 22 again.

I think I’ll go jump some rope now…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/19/16

Talk about bitter/sweet. Tonight, I got to watch Ryan a little earlier than normal. But, it was because our friend’s father may have had a stroke, and she had to go home early to help out. Please pray for Sunny; that whatever it is he’s suffered is fixed by God.

Ryan is doing well despite all that’s going on in his life. He’s an amazing young man. I doubt I’d have the stamina to endure what he’s been going through. I’d ask that you also pray for his quick recovery…

Thank you all so much for your continued support and prayers!!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/18/16

Yesterday I posted about not holding back. It got me to thinking about my job, and how I don’t hold back telling others about the company I really enjoy working for and how great the products are we sell. As much as I am bold to tell others about my company, I should be ten times as bold to tell others about Jesus whenever the opportunity presents itself. What am I afraid of?

I love that about Ryan. He’s never been afraid to tell people about Jesus…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/17/16

It’s so nice to be home. I went in to see Ryan just now. Not sure if he was as excited to see me as I was to see him, but I’m going to pretend he was ecstatic to see me. He looks great today…as his tough, tan & popular self always does.

I was sitting next to this woman on the plane ride home, whose friend’s two year old son recently lost oxygen for 40 minutes due to an undiagnosed asthma condition. Unfortunately, the boy is on life support and the couple is faced with the decision of whether or not to “pull the plug” on him. I cannot imagine having to make that decision. Please pray for this couple (name unknown), that God will provide the wisdom and strength to make the right decision for their boy, and that He will cover them with His peace upon doing so.

God also allowed me the opportunity to witness to the woman I was speaking with. Thanks to Ryan (and to God) for giving me the boldness to proclaim His word to others. It’s a great feeling to not hold back…

Matthew 5:15   Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

Sometimes I forget to stop and smell the roses. Yesterday was one of those times, as I forgot to give Ryan a hug on my way out the door for a business trip. Fortunately, it’s a short trip and I’ll be home tomorrow night, but I sure wish I would have stopped in to give him a hug goodbye. I sure do miss him…

1st Peter 4:8a   Above all, keep loving one another earnestly…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/14/16

A few laughs for today…

I am Transfinancial which means I am a rich person born in a poor person’s body. Help stop the hate by sending me money to resolve my financial identity disorder. The pain is real folks!

There are eleven people hanging onto a rope that’s dangling down from an airplane. Ten of them are blonde and one is a brunette. They all decide that one person should get off because if they don’t, the rope will break and everyone will die. No one can decide who should go, so finally the brunette delivers a very touching speech, ending with the words, “I’ll get off.” The blondes, all moved by the brunette’s speech, start clapping. Problem solved…

The Teacher says to the class: Who ever stands up is stupid
*Nobody stands up*
Teacher: I said who ever stands up is STUPID!
*Little Johnny stands up*
Teacher: Johnny, do you really think that you are stupid?
Little Johnny: No Mrs., I just thought that maybe you are lonely being the only one standing.

And this last one is probably Ryan’s and Jacob’s favorite:

Teacher: What exactly is MATH?
Little Johnny: Mental Abuse To Humans

Ba duh bum…

Goodnight Everybody! I’ll be here all week!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/13/16

Last night, Ryan and I were watching the Warriors’ game, which I had recorded the night before. What a great game by both teams. Even though I knew the result (that the Warriors had won), I was surprised to find myself still anxious about the outcome; still not settled about their victorious outcome.

Now, think about that when it comes to believing we are victorious in Christ; that He has redeemed us and will eventually take us home to be with Him. Do we still question? Are we still anxious about the outcome? Sometimes it’s difficult to battle our humanness…

Lord, Please live in me and give me the power to overcome my doubt. Make my faith strong! Amen

Romans 10:17   Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

Ephesians 2:8   For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/12/16

It’s funny when one gets older (actually matures), how much more comfortable he is in his own skin. He does what’s right in his eyes, whether or not it’s copasetic to the will or conforming to the ideas of others. He tries to do the will of the Lord. He’s more interested in what God thinks of him rather than what man thinks. Sometimes he’s wrong or choses incorrectly, but thinks he’s doing the right thing. Most of the time, however, he does or choses correctly, because he listens to what the Holy Spirit is telling him.

Ryan matured early on, because he has a heart after God’s. He isn’t perfect (nobody is), but one can see it in his actions. Well, maybe not at this time, but you could before his incident. His self-confidence and comfort in his own skin is  undeniable. And, his love for others too! Please continue to pray for him, so that he can be himself again. He’s such a light for God…
