Only 25 days left until CHRISTMAS!! Woohoo!!
The Birth of Jesus Foretold
In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. For no word from God will ever fail.”
“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.
If y’all don’t mind, I’m going to start celebrating starting now…
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Pretty simple concept. Not always easy to achieve. But, with God’s help, I have a fighting chance…
Lord, Please heal my boy soon. I miss him…a lot. Thank you for answering my prayers. Amen
As we grow older, our Christmas list gets smaller and we find out that the things we really want cannot be bought.
Christmas is almost upon us! Get that shopping done. I’d like this and that and those and these and thems and, of course, for Ryan to be healed. Now, that’s something that was actually purchased by the very One whose birthday we’re about to celebrate; that is if you haven’t been celebrating all year round already. Turns out the thing I want the very most can and was bought!
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
God is not waiting to love you until after you have overcome your weaknesses and bad habits. He loves you today with a full understanding of your struggles.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Psalm 136:2 Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever.

BELIEVE verb: accept as true; take to be true
John 6:35-40 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
