Ryan’s sleeping through all of the hoopla that’s ringing in the new year. I think he’s very wise, and think I’ll take his lead and hit the hay myself.
No words of wisdom from me tonight. Come to think of it, I don’t believe I’ve ever shared any words of wisdom whatsoever. That said,
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I hope you enjoy tomorrow more than you did today, and you enjoy each succeeding day a little more than you did the day before. Wouldn’t that be nice?
Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
If I can live by these verses alone, I’ll be doing pretty well…
34,250,888,499,132,016,111 The number of blessings bestowed upon our family in 2016. And we’ve still got one day left. God is Good!
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
Psalm 105:1 Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!
Psalm 116:12 What shall I render to the LORD for all his benefits to me?
You all have been so faithful over the past several years, keeping Ryan in your thoughts and prayers. And for that we are truly grateful! Tonight, as Ryan and I sit in his room, we’ve been returning the favor by praying for you all; that God will show Himself to you in a magnificent way throughout the coming year. We pray that you and yours are taken care of in every way that matters. May God richly bless you beyond what you can imagine. And, may you feel His love more than you’ve ever felt it.
Thank you so much for your continued love and support. Please know that it goes both ways. If you’ve ever got a special prayer request that you’d like us to pray about, please let us know about it so we all can participate in lifting it up to our Heavenly Father.
Ryan’s fast asleep now. It’s comforting to see him get the rest he needs. He looks so peaceful. Sweet dreams my son…ZZZzzzz
The Mood of Christmas by Howard Thurman
“When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock
The work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among people,
To make music in the heart.”
To bring peace among the people. From this moment on, I’m going to try to bring peace among the people. I will try to be kind in every situation. My actions will be kind. My answers will be kind. My attitude will be kind.
Lord, please help me to practice kindness in every situation…
I think I’ll go kiss my son Ryan goodnight…
Only 364 days left until Christmas! Better get your shopping done early…Now, where have you heard that before?
Happy Boxing Day Everyone! I hope this is the best boxing day you’ve ever celebrated…
Whew! Now that all the hustle and bustle is over, it’s time to relax, reflect, rejuvenate, restore, repair and a whole lot of other re’s…What this means, I have no idea. I haven’t even gotten past relax, because that’s what I plan on doing over the next several days…except for the million things to do on my chore list. But to me, those things are relaxing.
As soon as I get over my sickness, I’ll go in and open some presents with Ryan. Don’t want to spread any germs to him. That’s the last thing he needs. Can’t wait to get better…
Went to bed early last night with a pretty bad cold, and therefore didn’t post anything for Ryan. I think he’ll understand. I felt even worse today, but have been trudging along. Not! Have been lying down the entire day. My condition is not nearly (not even a billionth) as bad as Ryan’s so I will not complain, but thank God for His mercy.
John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Merry Christmas to All of You! We hope you had the best Christmas ever celebrating the birth of Christ!
Friends – Please be careful.
Yesterday I went to a Christmas party. I had a few beers, followed by a few cocktails, followed by a few shots…I still had the sense to know I was over the limit. That’s when I decided to do what I’d never done before: I took a cab home.
Sure enough, there was a police road block on the way home, and since it was a cab, they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident. This was both a great relief and a surprise because I had never driven a cab before. I don’t even know where I got it from, and now that it’s in my garage, I don’t know what to do with it.
Dear Santa, I’ve been good all year. Well, Most of the time. Once in a while. Never mind. I’ll buy my own stuff.
Friends – Enjoy the holidays with purpose, but please be careful out there! Ryan and I will be praying that y’all have the best Christmas ever!
I’ve been on and off work for a few days, so my internal calendar is off. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I get to watch Ryan tonight. It must be my sometimerz disease kicking in…
Needless to say, I’m looking forward to hanging out with my son. He always makes my heart warm…something that’s beneficial when it’s cold out…
We wish you a Merry Christmas! We wish you a Merry Christmas! We wish you a Merry Christmas! And a Happy New Year!
While I’ve been out and about on business, traveling, shopping, etc., I’ve heard more and more people saying Merry Christmas! Yay!
Let the celebration of Jesus’ birth begin…and never ever end!
Janine, Jacob and I went to the City today with some friends. Rode the cable car from Powell to Ghirardelli Square and back. The last time we did that was with some other friends, and Ryan was with us. I sure wish he could have been there with us. Well, this time anyway, he was with us in our hearts. Perhaps he’ll get to go with us soon. That’s what I’m praying for. Yep. That’s definitely what I’m praying for…
