Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/19/16

One night, a Viking named Rudolph the Red was looking out the window when he said, “It’s going to rain.”

His wife asked, “How do you know?”

“Because Rudolph the Red knows rain, dear.”

Drop the mic…

Tried it on Ryan this afternoon and got the same response. I think I’ll stick to my day job…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/18/16

Ryan’s friend Whitney stopped by to see him today. It was nice to see Ryan pay attention to her as she spoke about her latest adventures in Africa. Thank you for taking time to visit Ryan today Whitney, and for being the wonderful person you are! May God Richly Bless You in all that You do!

So, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. Finally got our tree, and Janine and Jacob are hard at work decorating it…Yes, at this late hour! Of course, I’m cracking the whip to make them get it done, so when I wake up in the morning it will be the most it can be. It had better be, or else…

I’d better put Ryan’s tree together now, so he can have something festive to look at as well…Well, that’s the excuse I’m telling you all anyway. I really need to put it together so I don’t get yelled at. See y’all tomorrow!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/17/16

Ryan would like to congratulate his cousin Amanda for getting her teaching credentials from Sac State tonight! She’s going to be one great teacher!!

The Buchanan household was made whole again today, as Jacob came home for winter break. He’ll be here a month. It’s a good thing we put away a little extra money, because our food bill is going to soar. Actually, I think we can feed him some of the food we’ve put away in case of a nuclear disaster. Some of it’s past the expiration date, so we need to get rid of it anyway…

Y’all sleep tight tonight, ya hear!?!?

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/15/16

It never ceases to amaze me how many people continue to pray for Ryan…and us…after all the years that have passed since his incident. I know that’s what we’re supposed to do for each other, but never before have I seen it sustained for such a long time. Our prayers have not only been for Ryan, but for his circumstance to stir the hearts of people, and to draw them to God. The beautiful thing is, we’re able to watch our prayers being answered in one form or another.  Continue to pray that God will reveal His wonderfully perfect plan to us. It’s exciting to watch it unfold!

Always be on the lookout for miracles. They’re all around us…all the time. And, if you think of it, please share with the rest of us what God’s up to. He is alive and well…ALWAYS AND FOREVER!

I’m going in to spend some time with Ryan now. It’s always a privilege…

12 – 14- 16   What would the next number be if there were 4 numbers in a date code?

Got all of Ryan’s tasks done.   Formula delivery: check   Pick Up Pulmozyme to last until the next pick up: check   Misc. Supplies: check

Janine’s list of things needed done before she returns: Not so much…

FB quote: “So, if a man speaks in the forest and there is no woman there to hear, is he still wrong?”

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/13/16

Gave the last of the antibiotics to Ryan yesterday. Praise God they worked! Ryan’s back to his kind of normal…for now. Tomorrow is another day to look forward to him recovering even more. One little step at a time. I hope and pray that it would come faster, but God’s timing is perfect, so I’ll be patient and wait for it…

Romans 8:24-25   For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/12/16

Only 13 more days ’til Christmas…Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!

So I get home yesterday afternoon from 4 grueling (but rewarding) days in Mexico, only to find a laundry list from Janine of things I’ve got to do while she’s away on her lavish trip to Korea. What the heck was she doing all weekend, eating bon bons?? Ha ha!

I’m really enjoying watching Ryan this evening. He’s the best! We’re switching back and forth between MNF and Family Fued. FF makes us laugh. It’s good to laugh…

The moon tonight looks spectacular! If my phone would take a decent picture of it, I’d post it, but it doesn’t so unfortunately you’ll just have to imagine a spectacular moon…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/11/16

It’s nice to be back home and to see Ryan’s face. When I walked in on him, he was just laying. Then I started talking to him, and he  started moving his face as if he were trying to talk to me. At least he knows someone’s there…and it may be wishful thinking on my part to think that he knows it’s me, but I’m gonna keep on wishing.

Thank you all for praying for him while I was away; and all of the other times you pray for him. It really means a lot to us to know we have an army behind us for support…

You know? I’ve been hearing a lot more people saying Merry Christmas lately; as opposed to Happy Holidays. Don’t be afraid to say Merry Christmas. I’d rather offend someone here on earth, than offend Almighty God. Once we get Christ back into Christmas, we can start bringing the true meaning of a rainbow back…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/10/16

These past three days have been quite exhausting, but spiritually rewarding. Our team of six guys put in all of the electrical; installed the conduit, electrical boxes and pulled wire, etc. Another team of locals put the roof on. It’s gonna be a really nice building, which is supposed to be move-in ready in February. Please pray that the entire project will be completed on time, so the orphans have a nice new place to live.

I’m now looking forward to getting home to see Ryan tomorrow; finding out how he’s been and comparing notes about our Mexico experiences. It really would be wonderful someday to do this with both my boys; to watch them interact with the kids, as well as see them work on something so worthwhile. Perhaps God will grant this prayer request…

Psalm 82:3   Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/9/16

Ryan would like prayer for his mom, Janine, for safe travels on her business trip tomorrow to South Korea. He’s going to miss her, but not as much as he misses his dad, who’s in Mexico right now. He doesn’t have to suffer much longer, however, as his dad will be home on Sunday…

Ryan’s feeling much better, and is back to his normal self since his episode last weekend. He’s been given a clean bill of health (all of his test results were okay) with only a few more days of antibiotics to take. So, please pray that he’ll never ever have any more sickness overcome him. Wouldn’t that be a miracle?
