Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/21/17

James 4:10   Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Matthew 25:35-45   For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Thank you all for the sacrifices you’ve made over the past 5+ years to take time and pray for Ryan. Whatever you’ve done for him, you did for the Lord. May God Richly Bless You All!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/20/17

So, y’all know what it’s like to have a problem with your car, and when you take it to the mechanic to check it out everything works fine, right? And, you also know we’ve been trying for some time to get a Tobii Dynavox (eye tracking machine) for Ryan to try and communicate with him. Well, the agency we are trying to get to assist with the payment of this device wants Ryan to get an examination to determine whether or not he is capable of using the machine…which is reasonable to ask. So, we were able to borrow and use the device a while back, and Ryan tracked nicely; meaning he could follow a bouncing ball across a screen a high percentage of the time.

So today, Janine takes him to the doctor for an examination to determine his ability to track, and he wouldn’t participate to help his cause any. He wouldn’t even look at Janine, which he does almost always. Talk about Murphy’s Law…or the mechanic’s curse…As a consolation prize, the doctor gave us some exercise tips to work with him, so he can try again down the road. Ryan likes a challenge, so we think he’ll be up for participating with us. Let’s just hope the next time we take him in for an examination, he participates in front of the doctor…

Please pray that he will…Thank you!

God is answering our prayers. He may not be answering them the way we expect, however. But, that doesn’t mean we stop praying. So, please continue to pray that God’s will be done for Ryan, because I know God is answering those prayers…

1 Peter 4:12   “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.”

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/18/17

Another day in the books. Did you make it count? Ryan made it count by doing the best he can to hang in there. The least I can do is fight for life as best as I can, so I can take care of him…and anyone else that needs my help…

Galatians 6:2   Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/17/17

A ventriloquist is telling Irish jokes in Davy Byrne’s pub in Grafton Street, Dublin, when, O’Leary, an irate Irishman stands up shouting, ‘You’re making out we’re all dumb and stupid. I oughta punch you in the nose.”I’m sorry sir, I………..’

‘Not you,’ says O’Leary, ‘I’m talking to that little fella on your knee.’

Kieran O’Connor always slept with his gun under his pillow. Hearing a noise at the foot of the bed, he shot off his big toe.’Thank the Lord I wasn’t sleeping at the other end of the bed,’ Kieran said to his friends in Donegal’s pub. ‘I would have blown my head off.

One night, Mrs. McMillen answers the door to see her husbands best friend, Paddy, standing on the doorstep.

“Hello Paddy, but where is my husband? He went with you to the beer factory”

Paddy shook his head. “Ah Mrs. McMillen, there was a terrible accident at the beer factory, your husband fell into a vat of Guinness stout and drowned”

Mrs. McMillen starts crying. “Oh don’t tell me that, did he at least go quickly?”

Paddy shakes his head. “Not really – he got out 3 times to pee!”

Billy stops Paddy in Dublin and asks for the quickest way to Cork.
Paddy says, “Are you on foot or in the car?”
Billy says, “In the car.”
Paddy says, “That’s the quickest way.”

Paddy and Mick are walking down the road and Paddy’s got a bag of doughnuts in his hand.
Paddy says to Mick, “If you can guess how many doughnuts are in my bag, you can have them both”

March Madness! There’s nothing like this college NCAA tournament; really fun to watch. Ryan and I are watching a little bit of it. Congrats to St. Mary’s (a college in the town next door to ours) who beat VCU tonight. Now we’re watching the Arizona game. We’ve got to cheer for the Pac 12 teams, because I’m a CAL graduate. Well, Ryan doesn’t have to, but I’m sure he wants to. At least I hope he does…

I sure do love my boy. Thank you all for loving him too!

Colossians 4:2

Ryan’s Miracle Watch Colossians 4:2 3/15/17

My neighbor knocked on my door at 2:30 A.M. this morning. Can you believe it, 2:30 A.M.?!?!? Luckily for him I was still up playing my drums.

Happy Wednesday Everyone! All is well in the Buchanan house today. Hope your day is going well too!

I really like this verse for this site…

Colossians 4:2   Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Simple, but meaningful…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 3/14/17

I like to play Scrabble and was messing around with the letters in the word miracle. Not that it’s anything profound, but I just found this interesting…

CLAIMER & RECLAIM are the only two words that can be formed out of all the letters of the word MIRACLE

CLAIMER   noun: a person (or God) who claims something

RECLAIM   verb: retrieve or recover (something previously lost, given, or paid)

John 14:6-7   Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Romans 5:8   But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Isaiah 43:1   The LORD created Jacob and formed Israel. Now, this is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid, because I have reclaimed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.

PATIENT   noun:   a person who requires medical care

PATIENT   adjective:   enduring trying circumstances with even temper or characterized by such endurance

Ryan is a patient patient. I’ve been learning how to be patient while the patient recovers.

Galatians 5:22   But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Patience is trusting God to keep His promises in His perfect timing.

Weeded the garden today. Next weekend I’ll spread some compost and till it into the soil. But, before that, I can’t wait until Thursday to solicit Ryan’s thoughts on what he’d like to plant. Oh yes! I plan on Ryan’s help sowing the seeds…and, on him making some delectable dishes using the veggies…

Matthew 8:14-17   When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him. When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.”

Oh yes! I plan on Ryan’s help…Lord, Please let it be!
