Ryan’s Miracle Watch 4/19/17

Found this gem on FB today…

” The ability to speak several languages is an asset, but the ability to keep your mouth shut in any language is priceless.”

Warriors beat the Blazers tonight by a mile. They’re up 2-0 in the first round of the playoffs. And they did it with their bigs…an unusual feat.

Yesterday, a Kaiser nurse came to evaluate Ryan to see if he could respond well enough to warrant a Tobii Dynavox. Surprisingly, he did not shut down for the nurse, which he has a tendency to do with new people. The nurse is going to see if she can convince the TD tech to lend us a unit for a while to work with Ryan. That’s a good start. She’s on vacation until the first part of May, so I won’t have any news to report on the matter until then. Please stay tuned…

Ryan would like to wish his beautiful mother a very happy birthday!! And, here is his birthday wish for her…

Psalm 20:4   May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 4/17/17

Sometime over the course of the next couple of days, someone from Kaiser will be coming to evaluate whether or not Ryan is responsive enough to warrant getting him a Tobii Dynavox (You know, the thing that will help us communicate with him?). Please pray that he will be up for the challenge and not shut down like he does when he meets unfamiliar people, and that Kaiser’s representative determines that he is responsive enough. It would be nice to try and communicate with him more effectively…

Happy Day After Easter! We hope you celebrated the most awesome gift ever, and that you shared with some one who may not have accepted it yet…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 4/15/17

We’re every bit as excited to wake up tomorrow morning as we are on Christmas morning…perhaps even more so…In either case, God gave us the greatest present ever…

I’m going to bed now hoping tomorrow morning comes quicker…even though I know it’ll come in the same amount of time as it’s always come…It’ll just seem quicker…That is if I wake up sooner, rather than later. Maybe I’ll stay up all night…Nah! Who am I kidding?

Sleep well y’all!

Hosea 6:2a   After two days he will revive us…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 4/14/17

Happy Good Friday Everyone! We all know what happens on Sunday! Or, if anyone doesn’t know, we need to make sure and tell them…

1 Peter 3:18    For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 4/13/17

Ryan and I are enjoying this Thursday night together. He’s been so calm and collected. That’s always been his nature…well, except when playing Lacrosse. But what sport doesn’t bring out a little beast in each of us? Speaking of Lacrosse: Reminder to self…get a new picture frame for the Lacrosse picture of him to hang over his bed. It’s such a great picture of him. Oh, the memories of him playing…as well as doing a whole lot of other things…

MAUNDY THURSDAY  noun: the Thursday before Easter, observed in the Christian Church as a commemoration of the Last Supper.

If you knew you were going to be eating your last meal, what would you have?

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 4/11/17

You know the saying “if I only knew then what I know now”? Well, I like this for the now…

“Be who you needed when you were younger.”

Think about it…

Psalm 25:4-5   Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.

Posted on FB today:

“Forget dancing like no one is watching. Dance like a toddler. They don’t even care if there’s music.”

Matthew 18:3   And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

John 3:16. Yes, it’s that easy. Oh, and it’s free!

Colossians 4:5

Thanks for praying for Ryan…
