Ryan’s Miracle Watch 1/18/18

Love and Miss some of the old hymns. They just don’t write music like this anymore…

“In the Garden” by C. Austin Miles, 1913

I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses;
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.

Refrain:
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing;
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

I’d stay in the garden with Him
Tho’ the night around me be falling;
But He bids me go; thro’ the voice of woe,
His voice to me is calling.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

Ryan and I are going to try to write some cool stuff soon. We’ll get some of our inspiration from oldies like this…

  1. those are beautiful lyrics. thanks for sharing. I shared it with my cousin who always says that
    Mt. Tam is his chapel and he takes the most beautiful pictures. He’s a professional photographer. Have a blessed weekend. Your parents sent the sweetest postcard to Rich and Arline about how they are praying for Luke. Your parents are awesome!

    • Hi, Thank you for the note. I’ve always appreciated some of the older songs we sung in church when I was growing up. I’ve only been on top of Mt. Tam a couple of times, and that was a long time ago. I really need to get back, because I remember it being a special place. I’d love to see your cousin’s pictures. Thank you for continuing to post updates about Luke. I’ll make sure to keep the prayer chain going through Ryan’s site. Tell Luke there are quite a lot of people praying for him…people he may never meet, but nonetheless love and care for him through prayer.
