Ryan’s Miracle Watch 4/21/18

Ryan’s noc nurse is sick this weekend, and while I wish her a speedy recovery, I’m not upset at the fact that I get to watch him for a couple of extra shifts. Watching him throughout the night, I get a small sense of how God must feel when He watches over His flock by night. It’s pure joy!

Genesis 28:15   I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.

Psalm 121:8   The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Ryan got a nice haircut today. He’s asleep now, so tomorrow I’ll take a picture and share it.

Janine asked me what the female version of a “man cave” would be. I told her it’s called “a kitchen”.

It didn’t go over very well with her. I was dumb enough to think I could get away with it since it’s not her birthday anymore. Apparently, it’s her birthday week…

Y’all sleep well tonight knowing God’s on watch…

I turned on Pandora today, and this was the first song that played. As many of you know, this was the song Ryan was singing on the beach just before his incident. It brought a few tears to my eyes…

Ryan would like to wish his beautiful mom a very happy 29th birthday today! I know he wants something…

Just a random Bible verse for today:

Habakkuk 2:14   For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Just think, if every Christian did his/her part to share God’s glorious word to at least one person a day, the truth of this verse would be accomplished way sooner than later…that is, if my math is correct…

If Ryan could speak, I know he’d be sharing. I want to be more like him…and like Him…

Even though I enjoy getting away for a couple-few days, there’s nothing like being home watching Ryan; especially when he has a good day like he did today. It’s just nice hanging out with him.

So, Janine got me one of those Ancestry DNA test thingys for my birthday so I can know what my heritage is. Well, I’m 100% positive I’m a mutt, but exactly what kind of mutt, I’m not sure. I’m pretty sure there’s some Scottish blood in there somewhere…

“Don’t run with bagpipes. You could put an aye out. Or worse yet, get kilt.”

Janine and I are in Orange County supporting Jacob’s fraternity who, earlier this evening, put on a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. What a nice event it was, and what a terrific organization MAW is. If y’all haven’t seen it, I highly recommend watching the documentary about Bat Kid, which was put on by the Bay Area chapter of MAW. You’ll find it on Netflix. It just so happens Ryan and I watched this wonderful documentary last week. Okay, now I’m missing Ryan. It’s a good thing I get to see him tomorrow…

Last night, just prior to going to bed, I asked Ryan if he’d be so kind as to be awake when I came to watch him in the morning. You see, he’s been asleep during my entire shifts as of late, and I just wanted to see his beautiful eyes and talk to him. THIS is the face (of an angel) that greeted me this morning. And, not only was he awake and smiling when I walked in, he was awake and smiling throughout my entire shift. Now that’s what I call a miracle! Thank you Lord for the amazing blessing!!

Wonderful Update about Bernard! Looks like the cancer is gone according to the latest scans. He’ll be meeting with his doctor next week to get a final analysis, but all indications are looking really good. PRAISE GOD!

Name one thing God did for you today, and thank Him for it before you go to sleep tonight…
