Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/24/18 Birthday Party Invite

It’s that time of year again! We’ll be celebrating another year in the life of Ryan at our house on Saturday, June 2nd (that’s 9 days from now) from 2:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. There’ll be lots of food, fun, music, story telling, laughing, belly dancing (for those who are feeling it), and many other things people do at birthday parties…

I know Ryan would love to see each and every one of you, and to thank you personally for praying for and supporting him all these years. We hope you’ll join us in wishing him a Very Happy Birthday!

Address: 9 Poco Paseo, Orinda, CA

Come One! Come All!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/23/18

When bald people wash their faces, how high up do they go? I’m asking for a friend…

Ryan won’t have to worry about going bald any time soon…if ever. Both our boys have got a full head of thick hair, Come to think of it, so did I when I was their ages. I’ve got thick hair now. It’s just not all on my head…

Was an odd day today, weather-wise. It was overcast and didn’t even reach 70 degrees. We’re not complaining, however, because every day the Lord gives us is a great day! And, we take advantage of every moment on and with purpose.

James 4:14   Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

John 8:2   Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

We all need to live each day as though it’s our last, because one day we’ll be right…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/22/18

I don’t understand why people say hurtful things like, “Wanna go for a run?” or “Try this kale.” Some people have no filter whatsoever…

Ryan had a good day today, despite the Warriors’ loss. And, while we talk like it’s the end of the world when they lose, the reality is their losing isn’t that important to us. There are plenty of things in our lives that are far more important; things like, do our family and friends know about Jesus? Is God at the center of our lives? Are we being kind to one another? And my favorite, What’s for dinner tonight? Seriously though, we need to make sure our priorities are in the correct order. It would be a sad day if everyone was upset about losing a game, but didn’t give a second thought to losing a family member or friend without them knowing Christ…

Matthew 24:14  And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/21/18

Today, Ryan and I are making our way through the book of Psalm. Here is one passage that stood out to us…

Psalm 20:6-7   Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

Today, we trust in the name of the Lord our God!

I had the honor and privilege of watching Ryan today because Janine was sick. Please pray for her; that God will relieve her symptoms quickly from what appears to be the flu. Thank you.

Ryan had an excellent day, topped off by a Warriors win. What else could we ask for? Well, a lot really, but we’ll take whatever victories God grants us…and we’ll enthusiastically praise Him for any and all!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/19/18

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and Ryan enjoyed spending time with his mother, even though he was forced to watch the royal wedding with her. I don’t get the big deal about the royal wedding. Isn’t it like watching every movie on the Hallmark channel?

Needless to say, I’m sure along with every Hallmark movie ever made, the royal wedding will remain on our DVR for years to come so someone, who will remain nameless, can watch it over and over and over and over and…in between endless episodes of Seinfeld and Gilmore Girls…

As for Ryan and I, we can’t wait for the Warriors to play again. Right Ryan?

Ephesians 4:2-3   Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Happy Royal Wedding Weekend Everyone!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/17/18

I just love it when I talk to Ryan, and he turns his eyes directly towards mine. There is something there. I know there is. Now, Lord please give him a way to communicate his thoughts to me/us…

Ryan and I finished the book of Job today, and are several chapters into the book of Psalms…We don’t always know what’s going on behind the scenes; the spiritual battles that are going on in Heaven. Like I said yesterday, know deep in the depths of your souls that God is in control, and He has our best interests in mind. Oh how He loves you and me!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 5/16/18

Today, Ryan and I read half way through the book of Job (I’ve read the book many times). Job has always been one of my favorite people in the Bible. In a nutshell, he had everything (family, wealth, health, etc.), and God allowed Satan to take it all away. But, because of his steadfast respect and love for God, God restored all he had and much more.

No matter what God allows Satan to throw at us, let’s know in the depths of our souls, God is in control, and He will restore all and more to us. Our lives on earth may not be easy, and quite frankly may be outright disastrous, but in the end, of which there really isn’t one, we must picture ourselves in Heaven; living gloriously and victoriously with our Heavenly Father…

Sweet dreams y’all…
