Didn’t post yesterday because I was sad; sad, because I read about a little girl who passed away.
Some of you may remember her. Her name was Jahi McMath. Two years after Ryan’s incident, Jahi (at 13 years of age) was declared brain-dead as a result of a botched tonsillectomy procedure at Children’s Hospital. Her mother fought to keep her alive, even though the doctors told her it was hopeless, and even though Jahi was on life support. You can read about Jahi here: https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/girl-declared-brain-dead-5-years-ago-dies-california-n887716?cid=par-xfinity_20180629
It’s hard for me to think about this young girl and her poor mother, because I can relate a little. The reason I say a little, is because other than immediately after his incident, Ryan’s not been on life support. I can’t imagine the struggle I’d have (making a life or death decision) if Ryan was on life support. What would I do? I hope I’d do the right thing…whatever that is.
All I know right now is I feel sad for this mother. Will you please join me in praying for her peace and comfort?
