Sorry for not posting last night. Janine and I were out partying like it was 1999, and by the time we got home I was way too tired to post anything (it was waaay past my 8:30 P.M. bedtime). Anyway, we went to see what’s become my favorite group of all time; Pentatonix. For those of you who don’t know who this group is, it’s an ahhh-capella group who, seven years ago, won a singing competition on TV and have gone on to have a very successful career. Each member is an accomplished musician in his/her own right, and together they are incredible. The amount of sound they get from just five people is, well wow! One of the highlights of last night’s show was K.O. playing the following…
Is this guy great, or what? I’m a HUGE fan!
PTX’s encore was Bohemian Rhapsody. What a fantastic ending to a fabulous concert! Go onto YouTube and take a listen. If you’re not hooked on this group after that, well…my mom always said “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything”, so I’ll just leave it at well…
When I came in this morning to watch Ryan, he was very unsettled (wide awake and coughing a lot), so around half-an-hour ago I started playing various songs performed by K.O. (Listen to his covers of Stay With Me by Sam Smith & All of Me by John Legend). I looked over at Ryan just now and he is sound asleep. Listening to beautiful music can have that affect on a person. Sleep well and sweat dreams my son…
Bret – We love Pentatonix and this song has particular joy for us. My son Jeffrey – long ago – played it at the National Cello Institute. As only a mom can, I share it with you for your pleasure.
I loved the pictures you posted of Ryan with such a big smile on his face and I am encouraged to learn of his continued love for music and the way the Lord is using music to relax him and bring him joy.
