NORMAL adjective: conforming with or constituting a norm or standard or level or type or social norm; not abnormal
That definition clears it up for me. How ’bout you?
Things were back to normal during my shift, in that Ryan slept the entire time. I’m glad he feels comfortable doing that (like I really know what he feels). It’s like when someone falls asleep while your driving. They trust you’re in control, and will do a good job not to put either one of you in danger. Either that, or they’ve passed out because they’ve consumed too much alcohol. I realize there are other reasons why someone would fall asleep in the car while you’re driving. Feel free to write them down. I’ll just stick with these two for now.
Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah. Consuming too much alcohol. No, wait! Not that part…The fact that Ryan sleeps during my shift, has become the norm, and if that’s what it takes for him to heal, it’s alright by me. God’s knows what he’s feeling, and in the end, that’s all that counts. Perhaps some day (or when I’m in heaven…if I’m blessed enough to make it) He’ll share with me what’s going on with Ryan while he’s sleeping. I’d rather Ryan would tell me himself…but I’m just grateful for the opportunity to watch over him…for now.
Lord, Please watch over my son while I sleep tonight, and allow me the privilege of relieving you tomorrow morning…
