Ryan would like to wish his brother Jacob a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! 22 years…Where does the time go???
Proverbs 14:23 All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.
I believe this verse is saying “put your money where your mouth is”.
On the day of his incident, when Ryan said he wanted to “touch one person for God”, God took him at his word. As a result, way more than one (of you) has been touched “for God”…and by God. Please make the most of God’s calling upon your life, and don’t let Ryan’s request of God go unanswered…
1 Corinthians 7:17 Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.
Some Tuesday Ticklers:
“All men should make coffee for their women. It says so right in the Bible. Hebrews.”
“Today at the bank, an old lady asked me to check her balance. So I pushed her over.”
“I bought some shoes from a drug dealer. I don’t know what he laced them with, but I’ve been tripping all day.”
“I told my girlfriend she drew her eyebrows too high. She seemed surprised.”
“A woman walked into a library and asked the librarian if they have any books about paranoia. The librarian answered, “They’re right behind you.”
“When you look really closely, all mirrors look like eyeballs.”
And, last but not least…
“I couldn’t figure out why the baseball kept getting larger. Then it hit me.”
Ba dum bum..
Anyway, Ryan laughed…and that’s all that counts…tee hee!
As you know, sometimes I like to open the Bible and read the first verse my finger lands on. Here is today’s verse:
Psalm 121:1-2 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
I dare say you can’t ask and/or get any better help than that…
Lord, Please heal Ryan tonight. Amen
I think that whoever spelled the word “subtle” with a “b” was very clever; that whoever spelled the word “lisp” with an “s” was cruel. And, when to use the word “whoever” or “whomever” has got to be the most confusing thing ever to me. I’m not even sure the sentence I just wrote is grammatically correct…
Ryan and Jacob, on the other hand, pretty much always know proper grammar, word forms, sentence structures and the like. Unlike me, who just now had to use “spell correct” to change from grammer to grammar…
And that concludes your English lesson for today. Tune in tomorrow for a more exciting subject…I hope…
Psalm 19:14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Went to the NHL All-Star game tonight and watched the best of the best play. It takes a lot of hard work and discipline to get to the level these guys are at. Heck, I’m just trying to be the best dad I can be. It’s clear I need to put in a lot more work…
Today’s note from Luke Souza’s Caring Bridge page regarding his biopsy appointment scheduled for next Tuesday:
“Just want to let you all know that Luke’s biopsy appointment will be on Tuesday. Thanks for your prayers!!”
Just want to reiterate how much Janine and I appreciate all the prayers y’all sent/send up on our and Ryan’s behalves (or is it behalfs?). We firmly believe in the power of prayer; that God answers each and every one according to His will. And, we really appreciate/covet your supporting others in prayer as well, as they pop up on this page and in your minds. Despite not always seeing a result, we know God is working diligently behind/beside/in front of/above and below to take care of each one of His precious children…you and me included. So, never stop praying and/or believing. Who knows? That one prayer you send up may just be the one that God moves on and saves a loved one of yours??? Keep on looking and loving Him…and others.
Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
In the blink of an eye everything can change. So, love with all your heart and forgive often, because you never know when you may not have that chance again…
I often think about what I would’ve/should’ve done/said to Ryan prior to his incident, and now find myself whispering to him (mostly that I love him) as he rests, hoping by the grace of God he understands me.
More importantly, I hope those of you who don’t have a personal relationship with the Lord, will not put off for another moment what you could have right now. Not to scare anyone into a relationship with God, but by the time you finish reading this it may be too late. Think about it, but don’t take too long…
Isaiah 55:6 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
“Happiness comes when we stop complaining about all the troubles we have and offer thanks for all the troubles we don’t have.” Author unknown
Thank you Lord for protecting us today from harmful things of which we weren’t aware.
Psalm 16:8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
AGENDA noun: a temporally organized plan for matters to be attended to
Let go and let God’s agenda flow. And, be amazed!
