Ryan’s Miracle Watch 2/3/19

One of my all time favorite hymns, but I admit it takes a lot of inner strength to sing…and mean it. Thank God, He provides all the strength I’ll ever need.

When peace like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say It is well, it is well, with my soul

It is well
With my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 2/2/19

Where did the month of January go??

Just as I can’t sleep on Christmas Eve because of the intense anticipation of waking up on Christmas day to find out what Santa brought, I won’t be able to sleep tonight on the eve of Super Commercial Sunday, because of the intense anticipation of seeing what clever and funny things will be playing on my TV tomorrow between some giant bowl of Boston Ram Chowder…Only the clever will understand what I just wrote. For the rest of you, try eating magic mushrooms and standing on your head next to a pile of wrinkled up aluminum foil…huh? Yeah, that’s what it took to write it…

Thank you for continuing to pray for Ryan despite his father being a complete dork…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 2/1/19

It was a great day to be indoors in Ryan’s cozy room. I opened the windows briefly so we could enjoy the sound of the raindrops outside. When it got too cold, I closed the windows and turned on Sounds of Rain & Thunder on YouTube. I don’t know how, but I prevented myself from dozing off a couple of times. It’s bedtime now, though, and I’m grateful God will be watching over me…and you…

Psalm 4:8   In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 3:5   I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

Y’all sleep well tonight…right after you thank God for sustaining you this day…

Please join me in continued prayer for Luke Souza and his family. This is posted on Luke’s Caring Bridge site:

Journal entry by Vickie Souza

So the results are in….. first off.. very thankful the Dr. was successful in getting the correct and precise samples for the biopsy (Praise God), but unfortunately, the results show that the cancer has returned, the Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  His oncologist is referring him to see a specialist at UCSF and have started the ball rolling for that to happen.  The good news is that it is treatable, it was caught early, and is localized and hasn’t spread.  Praise God.  Thanks so much for all your prayers!  I told Luke this evening and he handled it like a champ and brave warrior!  He really amazes me.  He is looking forward to this weekend hanging out with his brothers in San Diego and going to Supercross.

Of course this news breaks our hearts and weighs heavily upon us, but with the support from all of you…our family and friends, along with our faith and trust in the Lord, we will endure and preserve.

God bless, love, The Souza Family

Jeremiah 17:14   Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.
