Ryan’s Miracle Watch 4/4/19

Luke Souza Update:

April 4, 2019– GOOD PET SCAN RESULTS

Journal entry by Vickie Souza

Luke’s oncologist sent me a text message this evening to let me know that his scan looks good. YAY! PRAISE THE LORD!  The chemo treatments worked!  btw, I’m so thankful that his doctor sent me a message and took the time while away on vacation with her family.  She also communicated with the UCSF doctor who indicated that Luke will continue with treatments with one of the two chemo drugs until his stem cell transplant. We will know more next week once we are in contact with the UCSF staff.  But the good news is…. the results are in his favor and we can proceed towards preparing for the stem cell transplant. 🙂

Thank you so much for all your prayers! They are working and I know they are giving us strength and comfort through this journey.  God bless you all!

love, Vickie and family

I’m going to plagiarise Vickie’s last lines: “Thank you so much for all your prayers! They are working and I know they are giving us strength and comfort through this journey.  God bless you all!” Her sentiments really reflect ours toward all of you who have prayed for Ryan. He’s still battling something. His fever has returned along with lower O2 sats, which requires some assistance from the ventilator. Today, he had three or four X-rays at different intervals to figure out what is going on internally with his digestive system. They’re looking for some sort of blockage. When I left, they still didn’t see anything, but were about to do another X-ray. It’s really hard seeing Ryan laying there with a fever…
Lord, Please…You know my heart and can fill in the blank for me. Amen
