Ryan’s Miracle Watch 11/30/19

GRACE   noun:   the free and unmerited favor or beneficence of God

Went to a friend’s 60th birthday party this afternoon. This picture is of some my elementary school friends in attendance. Yes, elementary school; some 55 years after kindergarten…

Psalm 139:16   Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

God placed these wonderful people into my life knowing they would be amongst the first to garner support for Ryan just after his injury. Just another example of God’s amazing grace…

Love the rain. It lulls Ryan to sleep. He looks so peaceful in his deep sleep. Problem is, it’s contagious. Felt my head bobbing up and down a few times this afternoon. It’s kinda like when somebody yawns…makes you yawn too…

You know who doesn’t sleep? God.

Psalm 121:3-7   He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life…

It is extremely comforting to know this…

Missed another day posting yesterday, because I was too tired from all the day’s activities. Jacob’s home! ‘Nuf said…

During the summers when I was younger, I used to stay on my aunt and uncle’s farm in New York. My aunt had a parrot named Barney. We always knew when a rainstorm was about to hit the farm, because Barney would take a bath and ruffle his feathers about half and hour before the rain began to come down. I’m beginning to think Barney is living inside Ryan, because whenever the weather is about to change, Ryan’s temperature gets ruffled. Yesterday, his temp was unusually high, and today it started raining. If it goes untreated (usually a couple doses of Ibuprofen works), he may develop pneumonia, resulting with a trip to the hospital. We’ve given him the Ibuprofen, and now are praying it prohibits pneumonia…or anything else that’s harmful to his health and well-being. Will you all please pray with us? Thank you.

Ryan is excited for the arrival of his brother tomorrow for Thanksgiving week! As a matter of fact, we all are!

Thanksgiving week…Hmmm. Scratch that…Should be Thanksgiving lifetime…Better yet, Thanksgiving eternity…I like the sound of that!

Psalm 145:2   Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.

EXTOL   verb:   praise, glorify, or honor

Eternal Thanks and Praise be to you My God!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 11/23/19

At the beginning of this past week, Ryan’s weekend noc nurse had to back out of her shifts this weekend due to something (please pray for her). So, our nursing agency did find another nurse to cover her shifts, but she couldn’t find our house last night, and I ended up getting a call from the agency at 10:45 P.M. saying she bailed. I kind of understand. For those who haven’t been here before, our house isn’t the easiest to find even when there’s sunlight, much less when it’s dark. God had other plans…to bless me…I love that I get to watch Ryan more…

So, last night Ryan slept through the entire shift. Therefore, I didn’t have to do a whole lot of anything, except the simple hourly things. He never budged an inch…or wake up…I hope he gets another good night of rest again tonight. We’ll see…Me on the other hand…I’ll need to catch up on my beauty sleep at some point…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 11/22/19

Ryan’s happy and unhappy his mom is home. Happy because she can now cook him the hearty meals he’s been missing so much, and unhappy she didn’t bring him a t-shirt from Prague…

Ryan says he’d like some soft, chewy chocolate-chip cookies with half the chocolate chips, and a big glass of cold milk. Mmmmm, my mouth is drooling. Oops! I mean, Ryan’s mouth is drooling…

“Today, a million kids want to clean up the earth. Two million parents want them to start with their rooms.”

Tomorrow, Ryan’s mother returns from Prague, Czheckq Republic (or however you spell it), so Ryan and I are frantically cleaning the house in preparation for her return. One can only imagine (I’m not the one imagining, because I’m here) how messy…scratch that…trashed the place has gotten this past week. Can you say ransacked? I can imagine what wrath she will bring upon us if we don’t have things in order when she walks through the door…

Speaking about spelling, check this video out…Ryan and I are still laughing…

Well, PG&E didn’t turn the power off today, because God kept the wind to a light breeze…

Speaking of breezes…

“I have a great joke about air, but I think it would just breeze right by you.”

“I, for one, found No Nut November to be a breeze, but then again I am highly allergic.”

“What do you call a pasta sauce made out of sea breezes? Marine-air a…”

Ba dum bum…

Happy Wednesday Y’all!
