Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/31/19

Someone posted on FB the following quote: “Are you ready to begin the greatest year of your life?” I say, let’s start with a day, and go from there. Make each moment count!

Ryan’s ready to put 2019 behind, and looks forward to 2020 with renewed anticipation of being healed. I’ll be right there with him every step of the way with all the love and support I can muster.

Thank you all for sharing your gifts with us this past year! We love and appreciate each and every one of you, and wish God’s blessings upon you. We praise Him for his AMAZING GRACE!!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/30/19

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Ryan today, even though he slept the entire time. He looked so comfortable and peaceful, as I listened to Jack Johnson, Mumford & Sons and Santana on Pandora. He’s closing out the year on a high note. Let’s keep it going through 2020 and beyond!

2020? Really? Wow!

Lord willing, there’s just one more day left in 2019. What will you do with it?

Psalm 90:12   So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/29/19

Found this post on FB, and think it’s worth sharing…

I was at the grocery store this morning and heard a loud crash and something shattering. Being nosy, I walked towards the sound and saw some people whispering and looking back to the end of the next aisle. When I walked down that aisle, I saw an older lady had hit a shelf containing dishes with her cart and many had fallen to the ground and broke. She was kneeling on the floor embarrassed, frantically picking up the shattered pieces, while her husband was peeling off the bar code from each broken dish saying “Now we will have to pay for all this!”

I felt so bad for her, and everyone was just standing there staring at her!! I went and knelt beside her and told her not to worry and started helping her pick up the broken pieces. After about a minute, the store manager came and knelt beside us and said, “Leave it, we will clean this up. Let’s get your information so you can go to the hospital and have that cut on your hand looked at.”

The lady, totally embarrassed said, “I need to pay for all this first.” The manager smiled, helped her to her feet and said, “No ma’am, we have insurance for this, you do not have to pay anything!”

For you who have read this so far, I would like you to give me a minute. Wherever you are, close your eyes, and imagine God doing the same for you!

Collect the pieces of your broken heart from all the blows life has thrown at you. God will heal all your wounds, and I assure you that your sins and mistakes will be forgiven.

You see, we all have the same insurance, and it’s called Grace. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and ask for forgiveness, the Manager of the universe, GOD, will say to you “Everything has already been paid for, now go on your way, all is forgiven!”

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/28/19

NOSTALGIA   adjective:  an acute sentimental longing for the past

Jacob and I began to tear down the deck surrounding our already-taken-down swimming pool. I was remembering the great times the boys had in that pool. Sometimes, I wish I could go back and relive those days…Listening to the laughter, and the “dad watch this’s”, and the cooling off…etc. There are a lot of things I miss, and missed because I was away at work, or whatever. Yep, sometimes I wish I could go back…

Just feeling a little nostalgic today, that’s all…

Nevertheless, Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/26/19

I didn’t get the one thing I truly wanted for Christmas. I guess God doesn’t think I need it yet. I still keep asking for it. Maybe I’ll never get it…like that pony I wanted as a child. It’s okay, though. There are plenty of other gifts he has given me/us. We just need to be grateful for all of them. After all, He knows what we need more than we do…

Ryan spent a good portion of the day napping. The day after Christmas is always good for doing that. Rest well tonight Ryan, and know that we’re all continuing to pray for that miracle for you…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/23/19

Ryan’s back from the doctor’s, and it turns out the hole in his arm was caused by his arm being clenched so tightly that it rubbed against the tendon. With the proper wound care and plenty of prayer, it’ll heal up in 2-3-4-more months. We just need to make sure it stays clean, so it doesn’t get infected. And, to prevent this from happening on the other arm, we’ll be applying the same wound care.

As for the lump on his arm, it’s just a fat deposit; something I’ve got plenty of between my ears. They could cut it out, but that just opens up a can of worms we’d rather not open at this time.

So, WWWWWHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEWWWWWWW!! And, PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all for praying extra for Ryan!! We love when God answers them like this!!

PS-I knew it was nothing…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/22/19

Ryan’s got a hole in his arm the size of a pencil eraser. It’s located in the crook of his arm. One of his nurses noticed some bleeding after having given him a bath, and found it. We have no idea what it is. There has been nothing out of his typical “norm” to indicate anything was wrong. All his vitals have been stable, and he doesn’t seem to be in any pain. He’s also got a hard lump near the same location. Not sure if the two are related in any way. Needless to say, both of these things are of concern to us; as if we don’t have anything else to be concerned about.

We made a doctor’s appointment for tomorrow at 8:45 A.M. Please pray this is nothing too serious (not sure how un-serious a hole and lump in an arm could be), and that he can be treated easily. Thank you! I’ll let you know what we find out…
