Ryan’s Miracle Watch 2/26/20

Being extremely conscious about pollen and consistently wiping down Ryan’s room on a daily basis has been a huge help in curtailing his allergic reactions. There’s still more we can do, and we’ll be diligent in our efforts until the worst of pollen season is over.

Thank you all for praying…as well as for all the helpful suggestions you’ve been giving us!

It takes a village!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 2/23/20

Spent the better part of yesterday morning wiping down Ryan’s room to rid it of dust and pollen. The cleaning helped Ryan for about a day and a half, but the pollen has returned this evening, and has caused him some irritation (allergies), so I’ll need to repeat the cleansing process tomorrow, and the next day, and the next…until something intervenes to knock the pollen down or get rid of it altogether…like rain. Rain would solve a number of ills. So, please pray for rain…and that Ryan will get a good night’s sleep. Thank you…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 2/21/20 Cont’d

Noticed a lot of pollen on Ryan’s van yesterday, and today he’s been sneezing quite a bit. Not a good thing at all. Please pray we can keep the pollen indoors to a minimum, and that Ryan doesn’t suffer any affects from whatever does manage it’s way into his room.

We appreciate and love you all for continuing to pray for Ryan, and pray God richly blesses you for your kindness. Hope you all enjoy a beautiful weekend!

Love, Janine, Jacob, Bret and, of course, Ryan.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 2/21/20

Didn’t post anything yesterday because I had a hegette and decided to go to bed early. Woke up disappointed, because I thought more “beauty sleep” was supposed to live up to its billing. Apparently not, as my mirror mirror on the wall this morning yielded nothing but insults. Note to self: Buy a new mirror…

Ryan was sleeping soundly this morning when I walked in. How come beauty sleep works for him?

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 2/19/20

Ryan had a small seizure this morning. Thankfully, it didn’t last long, and he seems to be fine…thanks to modern medicine…and God’s loving touch. But, he has been coughing a lot during the afternoon/evening; which has me a bit concerned, as he has a tendency to run a temp when he coughs a lot…and, he can aspirate (not good) if the nurses are not on top of him…which they usually are. The problem is he has a problem relaxing, and we don’t like that for him. Please pray that whatever’s making him cough will just go away, so he can be more comfortable. The young man has enough going on without any added complications.

Lord, Please place your healing hand upon Ryan, and heal him completely. Also, soften the hearts of people who need You in their lives. In Jesus’ wonderful name…Amen

Jeremiah 17:14   Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for You are the One I praise.

Some wise quotes to get you through the rest of the week…and beyond…

“Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth.”

“Life is hard. It’s harder if you’re stupid.”

” I always wanted to be somebody, but now realize I should have been more specific.”

” When nothing goes right, go left.”

“I followed my heart and it led me to the fridge.”

” I don’t trust children. They are here to replace us.”

Ryan had a good day today. Please remember him in your prayers…and don’t forget to pray for those you know who need God in their lives…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 2/17/20

The four day weekend (even though there’s no such thing around here) has come to an end. We dug holes for and planted 8 fruit trees on the side of the hill. Haven’t done that type of physical work in such a long time, and had a tremendous hegget (what Ryan used to say when he was little) afterward. Didn’t have the strength to write anything, so y’all were spared yet again from my babble. Ended up going to bed at 7. I kinda like that, although I miss out on that extra half hour of life, by going to bed that early…

The good thing is, the next day comes earlier…Is that even possible? Feels like it, anyway. So, we hope y’all enjoyed a long weekend like we did…or even better than we did.

Tomorrow is a new day…one we haven’t seen yet. Make the most of it on and with purpose!

Genesis 1:29   Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

Didn’t plant any trees that would bear fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. I’m allergic…well that explains my dullness of mind…
