I was talking to one of our neighbors today, and she said that her daughter’s friend’s boss in San Francisco has contracted the coronavirus. So, it’s now right in our backyard; putting me on high alert, mainly because of Ryan’s compromised/vulnerable state. I don’t think I’ll be going out of the house much over the next couple of months, and I’ll certainly be hosing myself down anytime I return from a trip out. I’m not worried…just being sensible and taking extra precautions. It’s a good thing I’ve got plenty of canned beans and Top Ramen in the pantry. Reminds me of my college days…
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 43:1 Don’t fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.” God actually commands us not to fear, or worry.
The phrase “fear not” is used at least 80 times in the Bible, most likely because He knows the enemy uses fear to decrease our hope and limit our victories.
Please pray for those who’ve been affected by the coronavirus; that God will completely heal them. And, that God will wipe out this virus quickly, so no more have to suffer from it.
