GREAT adjective: remarkable or out of the ordinary in degree or magnitude or effect
Psalm 94:19 When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.
So, your anxiety is out of the ordinary; over the top. Worry not, because God’s consolation (giving relief in affliction) will bring you JOY!
JOY noun: the emotion of great happiness
Talk about a turn around.
This is one verse I take refuge in every single day…
The week was short. The week was long. Sometimes time flies. Sometimes it stands still. No matter how quickly or slowly time goes, however, there’s really no excuse to not to take time to pause and look around at all the wonderful things God’s doing, and to thank Him for EVERYTHING…
Lord, Thank you for everything. Amen
Today’s random Bible verse…
Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
Now that’s a good one!
This is a picture I took a while back of Face Rock in Bandon, Oregon. Isn’t she pretty? God is so creative.
While beautiful, however, it also reminds me of the story in The Bible when Jesus was riding a donkey on his way to Jerusalem, and the crowd was going wild (not necessarily in those words). The Pharisees told Jesus to rebuke the disciples for cheering and acting so boisterously. Jesus replied to them “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
I will praise the Lord loudly, because I don’t want Face Rock, or any other rock, to make even the slightest peep…
Revelation 14:6 & 7 Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
This angel’s sole purpose is to share the gospel; the best news ever. What a privilege! You wanna know something? I have that privilege as well, and would be failing as a so-called “Christian” if I didn’t share the best news ever with all of you. So, here it is as simply as I know how to explain it:
Believe that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for our sin so that we might become the children of God through faith alone in Christ alone.
Ryan loves you all so much, he gave me permission to use this platform to share this with you since he is unable to do so himself…at this time. Please believe! He wants everyone he knows (and doesn’t know) to go to Heaven and celebrate for eternity.
Whew, was it a hot one today! And, it’s going to be even hotter tomorrow…mid to low 90’s. We count our blessings, however, because there are people living in even hotter places…like on the 680 corridor (you know who you are), and beyond. These are the days the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in them! Always and in all ways…
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ryan had a great day today. Thank you all for continuing to pray for him!
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
Take this one to the bank…
This morning, Ryan and I listened to a bit of the Bible online with Contemporary Christian music playing on Pandora in the background. About 15 minutes into it, I look over at Ryan who’s sawing logs. Dude! That’s my thing!
Last week, we had a couple days of steady rain; probably the last of it for a long while. Tomorrow is the start of the first heatwave of the season. Will get to the low nineties on Tuesday or Wednesday. Time to make sure Ryan’s A/C is in tip top running condition.
All-in-all, another good day has come and gone. I hope y’all enjoyed it as much as we did. Don’t forget to thank God in your prayers tonight!
