Ryan’s Miracle Watch 8/31/20

Was too tired to post last night. Sorry to all of you who’ve been up since yesterday waiting for this. You know who you are…

After watching Ryan, I’ve been working on a project that’s worked muscles I didn’t even know I had. And it’s outdoors, so the strain on the “so called” muscles, along with the smoke in the air, have wreaked havoc on me…so much so, my chest hurts from inhaling. It caught up to yesterday, and that’s why I didn’t post.

Basically, nothing has really changed, because God is still in control as He’s always been. And, I rely on that to sustain me, even though there are days when I’m tired. It’s on those days He carries me…Like the poem Footprints in the Sand ( I think that’s the title). Anyway, you get the gist.

Thank you Lord for carrying me through another day…for lifting me up when I am tired and weary. Thank you for being my refuge…my safe place…my life…my all. And, thank you for caring and loving Ryan as much as you do. Please, if it be your will, heal him tonight. And, if it’s not your will, please carry me some more. Amen

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 8/28/20

We’ve heard a lot of people say they can’t wait for 2020 to be over. I would never wish for time to be over, as time flies by too quickly as it is. Perhaps the better things to wish were over are COVID, fires, hurricanes, power outages, heatwaves, corrupt politicians, racism, etc.

Make the most of each moment, and each trial… God does…

Romans 8:28   And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 8/27/20

Remember the good old days? I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you left them…

Psalm 118:24   This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 59:16   But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in trouble.

Lamentations 3:22-24   Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”



Ryan’s Miracle Watch 8/24/20

PRESENT   adjective:   spatial sense; being or existing in a specified place…in the moment

Ryan was awake during the first half of my shift today; and, he was very present. I could see it in his eyes. What a privilege it was to talk to, listen to music, and just hang out with him, and to know in whatever way he could, he was there in the moments. And that was quite a present for me.

PRESENT   noun:   a gift

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 8/21/20

Ryan’s afternoon nurse came back yesterday, after having to remained quarantined for too many days, after someone in her son’s company tested positive for COVID. She is completely negative (in a good way), and therefore there shouldn’t be any hazard to Ryan. She’s come back just in time, because I was actually beginning to get tired. Praise God for the strength He gave me to go the distance. I actually get to sleep in tomorrow…

Consider those around the world who, for whatever reason, are not able to sleep…who live in fear…who go to bed hungry…are ill…don’t have a bed to sleep in or a roof over their head…too cold…too hot. Whatever the reason, please pray God will be their portion, their protector, healer, comforter… And, we thank the Lord for providing for our needs!

Isaiah 40:28-29   Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
