Ryan’s Miracle Watch 10/6/20

I keep seventeen different computer files for all things Ryan; files for Medi-Cal, Legal, Kaiser, Regional Center, Home Healthcare Agency, Potential Treatments, etc. These are files I wish I never had to create. There are other files however; files entitled Ryan Music, Ryan Video, Ryan Pictures…I love these files. Today I looked at one particular file entitled Ryan’s Emails. This file contains emails I’ve received from the very first day of his injury. There are over six thousand emails in there; emails from people all over the world. The award for most emails from one person (not that I’m keeping track) goes to my next door neighbor Gretchen, whom most of y’all know used to send me an encouraging Bible verse every day (sometimes, but not very often, she’d send me a verse she sent before). She did that until she could no longer see…from 2011 through July 2017. That’s A LOT of verses. Gretchen was the reason I looked into this particular file today. I was talking with her this afternoon, and she gave me a verse for today…Hebrews 4:1 The cool thing about this is it’s the last verse she sent me back in 2017. The verse says, “Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.” This promise is the same today as it was back in 2017, and even further back when it was written. I hope it encourages you the same way it has me…I’m encouraged that the promise is the same, and I’m encouraged to make sure non of my family/friends fall short…
