Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/31/20

There’s no way I’m going to make it to midnight to ring in the new year (I’m surprised I’m up this late), so I’ll wish you all a Happy One now!! Tomorrow, we can all collectively sigh a huge sigh, and say that hindsight is truly 2020. If/when I wake tomorrow morning, I’ll thank the Lord above for giving me another day, and do my best to make each and every day after the next better than the previous. The Buchanan family thanks you all for the love and support you’ve poured abundantly over us this past year. We pray God richly blesses you tomorrow and always!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/30/20

There’s only one day left in 2020. Many people can’t wait for 2020 to be over. I say, make the most of the day. Don’t waste one moment of it. You’ll never get it back. One day at a time folks. Lord willing, one day at a time…   Lord, Thank you for the days you have given us. We pray that you’ll grant us tomorrow, and that we WILL make the most of it; glorifying you! Amen

Posted by a friend on FB: “That bit between Christmas and New Year’s where you don’t know what day it is, who you are, and what you are supposed to be doing.”     I don’t know about y’all, but it hits the nail on the head for me…and pretty much describes every other day of the year too…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/28/20

For some reason, this website has not been functioning for the past couple of days, but it’s decided to come back on, so I’m going to take advantage of it. It hasn’t allowed me to post, so I apologize to those of you who have gone a few days without sleep. Hopefully, after reading this you’ll be able to sleep soundly for a few days. Ryan’s doing well. He made it through all the hustle and bustle of Christmas; which because of COVID, there really was no hustle and bustle. We’ve managed to watch at least a few dozen Christmas movies…not by choice, mind you. Eh, who am I kidding? We watched over and over on purpose…Anyway, we pray you all had a Very Merry Christmas despite COVID, and that you are enjoying the days that have followed. I’ll leave you with a few words of wisdom that I recently stumbled upon: “The devil wouldn’t be attacking you so hard if there wasn’t something valuable inside you. Thieves don’t break into empty houses.” Read that again…

He is RISEN!! Yeah, I know this phrase is usually used for another “holiday”, but it doesn’t make it any less relevant. After all, the reason God sent his son (which is what we’re celebrating today) was to redeem us by dying on a cross 30 some odd years after his birth. And, by rising again, He gave us the most beautiful gift one could ever hope for…eternal life with Him. So, as you celebrate His birth today, don’t forget the story doesn’t end here…or ever…Merry Christmas Y’all!!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/22/20

Did you know that the chopping down of the Christmas tree represents the death of Christ, and putting it back up represents the resurrection of Christ? Did you know that the wreaths we hang are never ending circles that represent eternity? Candy canes were made to look like shepherd’s hooks and the colors, red Jesus’ blood, white purity. The gifts represent the three gifts the wise men brought for baby Jesus (although he was probably more like 1 1/2 or 2 years of age when they actually got there). So, when you’re running around trying to find the “perfect gift”, stop yourself, take a deep breath and remember, we have been given the perfect gift. Jesus Christ was given to us to remove all of our sins and provide a way to enter eternal life with Him. AMEN!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/21/20

Matthew 2:1-2   After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Maji Came from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born Kind of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”   John 8:12   When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” As we think about the convergence of planets that people are trying to see tonight, and while some debate whether or not it is the star of Bethlehem, remember WHO is the TRUE LIGHT…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 12/19/20

If you are struggling today, remember this: You have survived everything you’ve gone through up to this point.    Hope is seeing light in spite of being surrounded by darkness.   Only in the darkness can you see the stars.    Where there is hope, there is faith. Where there is faith, miracles happen.
