Ryan’s Miracle Watch 1/12/19

Tonight, I ran into a couple of Ryan’s high school friend’s parents, who coincidentally (you don’t really think I believe that, do you?), happened to be thinking about Ryan just a couple of days ago. It was so nice to hear how Ryan had affected their children’s lives (in a positive), as well as their lives as parents. God is still using Ryan in remarkable ways, and I am so blessed to be part of the ride…WOW!

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 1/11/19

Philippians 4:4-9   Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.

And the God of peace will be with you.

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 1/6/19

My mood ring is missing, and I don’t know how I feel about that…

It’s going to be a wet one around here, with predictions of rain at least 5 out of 7 days. We do, however, like as much rain as we can get, because we don’t want another drought. And, it’s really soothing to watch it fall outside of Ryan’s windows. Another good thing about all the rain, is I won’t have to use any water for a shower. I’ll just stand outside with a bar of soap…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 1/5/19

HUMILITY   adjective:   marked by meekness or modesty; not arrogant or prideful; unpretentious

When I consider how small Earth (a spec) is in relation to our galaxy (the Milky Way), and ultimately the universe, and realize that each of us is a spec within a spec on a spec, it humbles me. Sometimes I feel so insignificant; that is, until I remember just how much God loves me. To think he picked me out of the infinite specs in the universe to become one of His children. It then becomes difficult to contain my pride. This is when I need to humble myself and recognize my other brothers and sisters in Christ, and more importantly try to add to God’s family by sharing His love with others.

Love one another…I love all of you, and hope and pray God’s blessings upon your lives…

Ryan’s Miracle Watch 1/4/19

As you know, K. Leigh (aka KDOT) comes almost every Friday for an hour to play her clarinet for Ryan. KDOT is 30-something and has down-syndrome. Prior to Christmas I asked if she would entertain us with some Christmas songs, and to our delight, the Friday before Christmas she obliged and filled the entire hour with Christmas tunes. She and her family went on a mini vacation during the week leading up to and including New Years, and therefore she here last Friday. Today, she did come, and started off her set with a hardy rendition of Auld Lang Sine (Please don’t ask me to tell you what the song means. All I know is that it’s sung on New Years). Anyway, she followed that up with many more Christmas songs. We celebrated Christmas again! She’s got her priorities straight! AWESOME! When she was playing “Silent Night”, I turned and snapped this picture of Ryan:

Brought a whole new meaning to the phrase “sleep in Heavenly peace”…
